The Cabinet Project is a distributed exhibition, featuring installations in 10 cabinets and under-utilized spaces around the University of Toronto's St. George campus. Artists and scientists will re-populate these spaces with installations that interact with research, instruments and individuals working in their proximity. below is a list\u00a0of the venues and how they looked at the moment the artists started working on them.<\/p>\n

Koffler Cabinets<\/h3>\n
\n\t

In the Koffler Student Services Centre, 214 College Street.\u00a0It\u00a0hosts a series of three cabinets located in the corridor connecting to\u00a0the Bahen Centre, where the Departments of Computer Science and Mathematics reside. The cabinets have been\u00a0empty for several years. They\u00a0will host installations by Dave Kemp and Jonathon Anderson<\/strong><\/a>, and\u00a0Nicole Clouston<\/a>.<\/strong>\u00a0

Robarts Library<\/h3>\n
\n\t

130 St George Street\u00a0Catherine Beaudette<\/strong><\/a>, Stefan Herda<\/strong><\/a>, Stefanie Kuzmiski<\/strong><\/a> and Nina Czegledy<\/strong><\/a> will install works in four cabinets located on the first floor of the Robarts Library. Sizes: 47.5in.x 116.5in x 16in\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Physics Cabinet <\/h3>\n
\n\t

McLennan Laboratories, 60 St George Street<\/p>\n

The Physics cabinet is located at the entrance of the McLennan\u00a0Laboratories in the Department of Physics. Rick Hyslop<\/strong><\/a> will be populating this cabinet with a kinetic installation. Size:\u00a017in X126in X 30in<\/span><\/p>\n

Banting Cabinet<\/h3>\n
\n\t

UVic - 73 Queen's Park Crescent<\/p>\n

This now empty cabinet is sitting on the third floor of the University of Victoria College. The building hosts the\u00a0Department of History and Philosophy of Science \u00a0(HIPST<\/a>)<\/b>\u00a0and the\u00a0<\/span>Material Culture Program<\/a>. Nicole Liao<\/a>\u00a0<\/b>will create her installation inside this cabinet<\/span>

Gerstein Library<\/h3>\n

7 Kings College Circle. The Gerstein Science Library has offered two cabinets which will host the installation of Joel Ong<\/strong> and Mick Lorusso<\/strong><\/a> and a\u00a0-mainly unused, yet ideally sized- room which will contain an installation by Microcollection<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n
