Sunspotting – 20 June 2013

First sidewalk solar-observing astronomy session of the year promoted by the Dunlop Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics, University of Toronto

The sun could be observed via three telescopes for sidewalk solar-observing, including an H-alpha ‘scope for  views of flares and prominences. There was also a  8′ inflatable Sun on view! if you missed this session, there will be more occasions during the summer. Usually the sessions take place on Thursdays at noon, weather conditions allowing.
