To many, the University of Toronto is a well-oiled, yet headless machine capable of simultaneously producing and digesting, disseminating and destroying, revealing and hiding interminable amounts of knowledge. For every scholar taking notes, performing an experiment, demonstrating the effects of a chemical reaction, etc.. countless material is produced. Certainly, a good amount of that material is either recycled or destroyed. What is left, is stored and most likely forgotten in the subbasement, a sort of “belly of the beast” university edition that collects dust and a lot of very interesting material. a true treasure trove for the historian of science and for some of the brave artists who joined The Cabinet Project
Here is a very brief look.
